This hole goes through the top the the drivers quarter as seen here at the corner of the trunk lid and next to the panel that is between the back window and the trunk. Of course, as all other repairs on this car were done, this one too was covered in a nice thick coat of body filler on top. On the bottom side there was a very sloppy patch of fiberglass and resin. I’ll cut this out and fabricate a nice metal patch to weld in place. This hole continues through the wheel house outer half where the hole was patched with a piece of aluminium sheet metal and insulating spray foam used to insulate homes.
You can see from some of the various colors the car has been painted in the past. I count Silver, Red, White, Light Blue, Dark Blue, and factory paint was Tahoe Turquoise.
