I cut out all most all of the passenger quarter panel. They’ve been ‘patched’ before for rust problems but the patches were horribly done. The wheelhouse has rusted through on the ends and along the lip where is meets the quarter panel. I purchased the entire outer section of the wheelhouse, but after cutting out the quarter panel I’m not so sure I’m going to completely replace it. It looks like it’s going to be a big job if I try to do so. Besides the spot welds to the inner section of the wheelhouse, it’s welded to several other parts and I’m not even sure I can get to them all. I’ll probably section the replacement part and only get rid of the bad metal. I need to inspect the rocker panel on this side. It appears it could have some rust holes that may have been covered up with fiberglass and epoxy.
