In October of 2006, while visiting my family, my brother told me about a 1965 Mustang that he wanted. He said it needed work but was in pretty good shape and the seller was asking a very reasonable price. I kept thinking about what my brother told me over the next few days and I could not quit thinking about it. I ended up buying the Mustang and I gave it to him as a birthday present.
It would have been nice to help my brother finish the restoration of the car but it’s a 3 hour drive to his house. When we were teenagers we both owned classic Volkswagen Beetles and I remembered how much information we were able to share about repairs and modifications we did on these cars. I started thinking maybe I could do something similar again. Perhaps we could share photos and trade ideas over the phone or though email. It was time to find a Mustang of my own and so the search began.
